Educational Tour - Batch 2016

The monuments which we visited were great examples of IndoIslamic architecture of the Deccan showing evolution and growth of the provincial styles, some of them even demonstrating exemplary structural feats. Conservation architect Jinisha explained the students how symmetry, planning along central axis and using ornamentation techniques such as Arabesque, Calligraphy and geometrical designs was critical to the development of Indo Islamic architecture. She also told them how layers of history could be analysed by looking at systems of construction and details.
