Just as the sweetness cannot be separated from honey, just as the beauty cannot be separated from a rainbow, onam cannot be separated from its celebrations. Onam is the biggest and the most celebrated festival of Kerala. It was celebrated at McGan´s this year by the high spirited students with gaiety and fervour. The morning greeted everyone with the traditional dance of Kerala called ´Thiruvathira´, followed by various games which included the infamous tug of war.the Athapookalam (Flower Rangoli) competition was held for the firt year students.
There was a lot of excitement in the air as they tried to create the grandest design. An exclusive Onam feast was served for lunch which was served with more than 10 items on plantain leaves. As part of the celebration, the students tried to bring out the best of Kerals´s culture and traditions and it also aligned with the institute´s constant effort of connecting its diverse student community. It proved to be a success as all the students embraced the festival as their own.
